Franco-Moroccan Actor Said Taghmaoui Faces Legal Threat Over Orphan Charity Dispute in Morocco

Franco-Moroccan actor Said Taghmaoui recently indicated that he had been scammed by an association helping orphans in the city of Essaouira. This is not the case, responded the association in question, which reserves the right to take legal action against the Moroccan star.
The information revealed by Taghmaoui is unfounded and not based on any evidence, clarified the association Essaouira Darna in a press release, adding that these allegations undermine its image and credibility. The association explains that the project Taghmaoui is talking about is currently the subject of a technical study and that it has only managed to mobilize 50% of the planned budget.
Said Taghmaoui collects funds for the association from the sale of T-shirts and glasses and subscriptions on a special page in his name on Instagram (about 20 euros per subscription), the association said, however specifying that the actor has not yet transferred any amount to the association’s account.
The association also denounced the fact that Said Taghmaoui gives the impression on social networks that he is spending his fortune for the children of the association, stressing that the Moroccan star has never donated a dirham to it. The association also reassured former, new and potential donors that they can continue to trust it.
