China’s Yutong Bus Scores Record-Breaking Deal: 723 Buses for Morocco’s Africa Cup

The Chinese manufacturer Yutong Bus has officially announced the supply of 723 buses to Morocco in preparation for the Africa Cup of Nations football tournament, which will begin on December 21, 2025. This order, aimed at strengthening the public transport network during the competition, is the largest ever recorded for a Chinese manufacturer on the African continent.
The handover of the first batch of vehicles took place this Friday, September 12, at the manufacturer’s factory, in the province of Henan. Representatives of Moroccan customers and Yutong Bus executives attended the event, marking the beginning of the execution of this contract.
Beyond the sporting event, this contract represents a strategic step for the Chinese industry in Africa. It allows Yutong to position itself as a key player in major international events and to demonstrate its ability to respond to large-scale orders on the continent.
During the ceremony, the company’s Moroccan partner highlighted the dimension of this collaboration: "Yutong, the world leader in the bus industry, is not only an industrial partner, but also a bridge connecting countries and cultures. [...] we are building trust, creating new opportunities and shaping a common future."
