Abandoned Car Near Agadir Yields Major Drug Bust, Sparks Investigation

While royal activities are in full swing in the southern capital, the security services were intrigued by an abandoned car at the exit of the highway connecting Marrakech to Agadir.
Tracked by the services of the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance, the driver is said to have parked the vehicle near Amskroud, before fleeing to an unknown destination.
The search, carried out on Tuesday, February 4, resulted in the seizure of 88 kilos of cannabis resin, 150 grams of white powder, as well as 4 fake license plates.
On the orders of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, an investigation was opened by the services of the Royal Gendarmerie to determine the circumstances of the case and the ramifications of the criminal network involved.
