Ziyech Shines as Chelsea Beats Tottenham 2-0 in League Cup Semi-Final

For having contributed to Chelsea’s victory over Tottenham (2-0), Moroccan player Hakim Ziyech was named man of the match. A consolation prize for the player who was not called up for the Africa Cup of Nations.
Chelsea defeated Tottenham (2-0) at Stamford Bridge as part of the first leg of the League Cup semi-final. Even though he did not score a goal, Hakim Ziyech was a key element in his club’s victory, to the point of being named man of the match.
The opening goal came in the 5th minute of play on a shot by Kai Havertz. The second goal was an own goal that occurred in the 34th minute. They will keep this advantage until the end of the match. The return leg is scheduled for Wednesday, January 12 at 5:30 pm.
