Ziyech Seeks Exit from Chelsea as AC Milan Deal Stalls, Premier League Clubs Circle
While the negotiations are dragging on between AC Milan and Chelsea, Hakim Ziyech, determined to leave London this summer, has asked his lawyer to find him an alternative. The Moroccan international is nevertheless on the radar of Newcastle and Leeds United.
Lacking playing time, the 29-year-old player has clearly expressed his desire to leave the Blues this summer. As soon as the announcement was made, several clubs expressed interest in securing his services, as the midfielder always impresses with his attacking abilities. The most serious track being his transfer to AC Milan and the negotiations would have even started.
But here, a few days before the end of the transfer window, the midfielder, frustrated by the slowness with which the Serie A champion is advancing the case, has asked his lawyer to find him a new club, according to the Evening Standard.
Ziyech was hoping for a transfer to Italy, but the Rossoneri have taken time to move their discussions forward. Stefano Pioli’s team is also considering a loan decision before buying, which has pushed Ziyech to ask his lawyer to find alternative options, the same source specifies.
Meanwhile, two other Premier League clubs have put the Moroccan on their list. These are the ambitious Newcastle club and Leeds United. The former is ready to afford his services, while Chelsea has set the transfer amount at 8 million, according to the Daily Mail. The latter is considering including the midfielder in its new game plan for the new season.
