Chelsea Fans Turn on Ziyech as Poor Form Continues in Champions League

Nothing is going right for Hakim Ziyech anymore. Since he recovered from his injury, he has been accumulating bad news. Once adored by Chelsea supporters for his performances, the magic seems to have disappeared, giving way to criticism and whistles as a sign of protest.
Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech is increasingly criticized by Chelsea supporters. A few days ago, he was criticized for his lack of performance in the match between Chelsea and Zenit St. Petersburg. He is again under fire after his club’s defeat against Juventus (0-1) in the Champions League. Internet users and supporters did not appreciate the performance of the Moroccan player, who, according to them, delivered a disastrous performance.
Against Juventus, Hakim Ziyech was substituted after 62 minutes, having had no action capable of shaking the opposing camp. Disappointed, many internet users say they regret the disappearance of the Ziyech of the good old days, the one who was a strategist, cunning or even efficient. Many are again calling for his departure from the English club, if he is no longer able to shine as he did at Ajax Amsterdam.
Many observers have indicated that Chelsea with its style of play was not the right destination for the Atlas Lion, especially since he arrived in 2020 from Ajax with a very good reputation. But at Chelsea, he only shone for a few months before the troubles began for him. Former Dutch midfielder Rafael van der Vaart had even said that Ziyech made a mistake in moving to Chelsea, and that he would have been in his element at Tottenham.
"In hindsight, it’s easy, but I think (moving to Chelsea) wasn’t the right choice. I hope he will flourish fully, but if he had gone to Tottenham, for example. A player like him is missing them. He played very well at Ajax and did the same against Tottenham. So take him with you!" he said.
