Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech contributed to his club’s victory (2-0) by scoring a goal in the 93rd minute of the match between Chelsea and Sheffield United on Sunday, March 21 at Stamford Bridge. The Blues fans hailed this great performance by the Atlas Lion.
Chelsea managed to eliminate Sheffield United in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup on Sunday after a hard-fought match. The Blades score an own goal in the 24th minute of play following a left-footed shot from Ben Chilwell from the left angle of the box, and tackled by Oliver Norwood. The score (1-0) remains unchanged until the return from the locker room. The Sheffield United team tried to take the lead during the second half. Without success. Hakim Ziyech comes into play in the 72nd minute of the game. He will double the lead during stoppage time (2-0, 90+3), and gives Chelsea their ticket for the semi-finals of the English Cup.
This feat has delighted the Blues fans. "Ziyech! He’s back," writes a fan on Twitter. "I really like Ziyech, his arrogance is annoying, but he has quality and something tells me he’s a big game player," writes another fan. After this performance, it is simply to be hoped that the Moroccan midfielder will be less and less on the bench to let his talent blossom within Chelsea.
