Chelsea Edges Manchester City 1-0 in FA Cup Semi-Final, Ziyech Scores Winner
Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech is the author of the only goal that allowed Chelsea to qualify for the final of the English FA Cup football on Saturday. The London club beat Manchester City (1-0) at Wembley.
The goal of deliverance came in the 55th minute of play, while the Moroccan international had already scored a first goal at the start of the match that had been disallowed for offside. Other opportunities presented themselves but the players were unable to widen the score. The Blues will face the winner of the match between Leicester City and Southampton this Sunday in the second FA Cup semi-final.
On the Citizens’ side, they risk facing Paris Saint-Germain on April 28 at the Parc des Princes in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals, without Belgian captain Kevin de Bruyne, who was injured in the ankle right at the start of the second half of the match against Chelsea.
