Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech Celebrates First Career Title with Champions League Win

Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech is overjoyed since his triumph with Chelsea in the Champions League thanks to a goal by Kai Harvetz. The Atlas Lion still can’t believe he has won the first title of his career.
Even though Hakim Ziyech is not the author of the goal that allowed the Blues to defeat Manchester City, the Moroccan player fully deserves this title of European champion since during the season, he scored 2 goals and an assist. During the celebration of this victory with his teammates, the Atlas Lion declared to Bein Sports that he still can’t get over his emotions of being able to lift the European Cup. "I can’t describe how happy I feel. It’s a childhood dream come true. I have no words for it."
It is a real triumph for the Chelsea midfielder who said he did not expect to win such a big prize so soon at Chelsea. "It was a very difficult game for both teams. Everyone was in a very good position, so there weren’t many nice opportunities, but Mason Mount found a hole and played Kai Havertz. That’s why we’re the happy club now. We should enjoy it and we’ll certainly celebrate it. I came to the club to win trophies and that I can immediately win such a big trophy in my first season: I’m very proud," he added.
Chelsea ends its season in style, finishing fourth in the league and winning the Champions League. A personal satisfaction for the Moroccan player who was in a bad position after the arrival of Thomas Tuchel at the head of the team.
