Chelsea Reverses Course, Opts to Retain Moroccan Star Hakim Ziyech

Chelsea has decided to keep Hakim Ziyech, whose transfer had animated the summer transfer market for a few weeks. Major clubs like AC Milan had expressed their intention to recruit the Moroccan international.
AC Milan had announced that recruiting Hakim Ziyech during this summer transfer window was its priority. The Atlas Lion was not against new experiences in another club, especially with the difficulties encountered after the takeover of the team by German coach Thomas Tuchel. Even former Oranje coach Marco Van Basten, who is a fan of Hakim Ziyech, had invited the Moroccan player to find a club capable of showcasing him and that has respect for his skills.
Ultimately, the Blues have stated that they no longer want to put the player on the transfer market, even though Thomas Tuchel had said he was not counting on him in terms of abilities, reports Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
During the past season, Hakim Ziyech played 9 matches in all competitions, including 23 in the Premier League. He scored 6 goals and provided 4 assists. Arrived last summer from Ajax Amsterdam for 40 million euros, the Moroccan player is under contract with Chelsea until 2025.
