Chelsea’s Ziyech Sidelined for Premier League Opener with Shoulder Injury

Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech, injured in the shoulder during the Supercup final in Belfast, will not be part of Chelsea’s squad that will face Crystal Palace this Saturday, as part of the 2021-2022 season.
The announcement was made by his coach Thomas Tuchel, who praised the performances "of the best player of the pre-season".
In his message, the coach did not give details on the duration of this absence, he simply expressed the wish that the Atlas Lion returns as soon as possible and that he has a season with fewer injuries than last season.
To recall, Hakim Ziyech was the author of Chelsea’s only goal, on Wednesday, August 11, in the final of the European Supercup against Villarreal. Even though the shoulder injury forced him to leave the match, he had greatly contributed to the Blues’ victory.
