Chelsea’s Ziyech Returns to Training, Could Face Arsenal After Injury Recovery
The Chelsea coach announced that the Moroccan player Hakim Ziyech has resumed training after recovering from his shoulder injury. There is a good chance he will be lined up for Chelsea’s match against Arsenal.
Chelsea hopes to be able to count on Hakim Ziyech, absent during the match against Crystal Palace due to injury, this Sunday. "Hakim and N’Golo have both trained today and had no problems. But we need to have a more intense session with them and the team on Saturday before making a decision, but for now it looks good," Thomas Tuchel said at the pre-match press conference on Friday.
He also announced the absence of Christian Pulisic, currently in isolation due to Covid-19 contamination during the week. Apart from the Atlas Lion making his return, the coach stressed that newly recruited Romelu Lukaku could be part of the team. "This week has been busy for him because he was in the group of the latest arrivals [...] but we hope he will be on the pitch on Sunday," said the German technician.
