La Zarra’s Post-Eurovision Tour Struggles Amid Controversy and Low Ticket Sales

On tour after her participation in the Eurovision for France, La Zarra thought she would fill the halls. But her disillusionment is great. The cause, her middle finger after her defeat in the European competition.
La Zarra was counting on the success of her hit "Tu t’en iras" and her participation in the Eurovision with her song "Évidemment" to make this first tour a success. But the welcome from the fans is far from what she had hoped for. Announced in concert on June 2 at the Espace Julien in Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône) and on June 8 at the Splendid in Lille (Nord), the Canadian singer of Moroccan origin had to postpone her first two dates to December 9 and 17, reports Le Parisien.
According to Play Two Live, her tour manager, this postponement is due to "technical reasons for the preparation of the tour". But from reliable sources, the low turnout in the halls would be at the root of this false start. This promoter close to TF1 put the ticket office for 24 concerts on sale on March 9, starting June 2. Three months later, he just decided to postpone all the dates to December, due to insufficient bookings.
But the concert on June 15 at Pleyel should be held, even if the Parisian hall will not be packed. Discounts of less than 30% have been made on some tickets. The organizers explain on their website and digital channels that the cancellation of July 23 at the Greenland festival, at the lake of Palau-del-Vidre, near Perpignan (Pyrénées-Orientales), is due to "reasons beyond our control". But according to some sources, the decision would come from the event team after La Zarra’s middle finger.
The song "Évidemment" by the 35-year-old singer has been removed from most major French radio stations because of this middle finger and her Instagram story where she wrote: "For all those who criticize me, go fuck yourselves with a cucumber." Since that Eurovision night where she finished 16th, La Zarra, now based in France, has made no public comment. According to Capitol, her record label, she would be preparing to release her second album.
