14-Year-Old Moroccan Teen Arrested in France for Multiple Thefts, Including €300 Wallet

It all started with the theft of a wallet containing 300 euros and earrings in a garden center last Thursday in Épône, reports Actu.fr. The wallet belongs to the manager. She alerted the municipal police. On their arrival, the victim gave them a description of the alleged thief. It is a young man known to their services staying at the Kimhôtel, a social hotel. The police went there where they arrested him on the terrace of the establishment. The suspect confesses.

Wanting him to return the loot, the agents then took him to the garden center. While they were in the store, a patrol of the national police was looking for the young Moroccan for another theft committed at the SNCF station. The teenager is suspected of having stolen cash, a bank card and the key to a car parked in the station’s parking lot. He again admits the facts.

The search of his room proved fruitful. The investigators found there objects and money from thefts and burglaries: Louboutin shoes worth 1,000 euros, 600 euros in cash, phones, a speaker, car keys, etc. Thanks to these objects, the investigators managed to solve other offenses committed in different places in the Paris region.

He is now being prosecuted for seven cases. Why does this Moroccan minor steal so much? "He tells us that to survive, he steals regularly in Paris, in Épône, all over the place," says a source close to the case.
