The new coach of FC Barcelona, Xavi Hernandez, has included two young Moroccan forwards, Abde Ezzalzouli and Ilias Akhomach, in his first list of players summoned for the match against Espanyol this Saturday.
Xavi has unveiled his first list of players. Abde Ezzalzouli, 19, and Ilias Akhomach, 17, two young Moroccans from the Catalan club’s youth academy, are on this list of 23 players called up for the match against Espanyol scheduled for this Saturday, November 20 at 9pm. For a few days now, the two young people have been participating in the senior team’s training sessions of the Blaugrana.

The new coach, himself a pure product of this academy, seems convinced by the level of the two Moroccans who could secure a lasting place in the team, in the absence of several star attackers.
Barça is currently in 9th place in the Spanish league standings, with 17 points. After 12 league matchdays, it has 4 wins, 5 draws and 3 losses. A poor performance that the new coach will have to absolutely improve.
