Morocco’s Football Federation Moves to Secure Young Talents Akhomach and Ezzalzouli for National Team

To avoid having Ilias Akhomach and Abdessamad Ezzalzouli stolen, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has decided to take matters into its own hands to integrate them into the national team. Fouzi Lekjaa and his team do not want to relive the same experience as the three Belgian-Moroccans who were recently snatched by the Belgian national football team.
It is in consultation with the national coach Vahid Halilhodzic that the FRMF is taking steps to have the two players integrated into the national team, whose colors they have worn in the U15 and U17 categories, reports the daily Assabah.
The performances that the two players have shown in their first matches with the Catalan club have set the sports press on fire to the point of encouraging the FRMF to re-establish contact with Ilias Akhomach (17 years old) and Abdessamad Ezzalzouli (19), these two young Spanish-Moroccans who have become stars of FC Barcelona in a short time.
The chances that they will be part of Vahid Halilhodzic’s next list are high. They will therefore join the long list of Moroccan-origin footballers who have agreed to join the national team. These include, among others, Hakim Ziyech, Noussair Mazraoui, Oussama Idrissi, Zakaria Aboukhlal, Ilias Chair, Youssef El Karouani, Nassim Amellah... and many others.
