World's Largest Snake Gives Birth to 26 Baby Anacondas at Agadir's Crocoparc

In the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, the Crocoparc Agadir experienced a rare event. The world’s largest snake gave birth to 26 healthy baby anacondas. Although the animal keepers were expecting this, it was difficult for them to predict the exact date of the births.

From the nursery, where a suitable space has been set up for their better development, the baby anacondas, the park administration’s press release states, will be able to receive visitors who will have the pleasure of seeing them evolve.

These little ones, who measure an average of 80 centimeters and weigh 260 grams, were born after a gestation of about 7 months and are immediately independent, the press release states.

Considered the largest snake in the world, the anaconda, which is native to South America, lives near water and can exceed 6 meters in length for a weight of over 150 kilos.

The press release indicates that the Crocoparc will soon offer its visitors the opportunity to discover the two largest species of snakes living on the planet today. There will be 10 anacondas and 10 reticulated pythons.
