World Cup Qualifier: Burkina Faso Seeks Morocco as Venue for Algeria Match

Burkina Faso has asked Morocco to host the match between the Stallions and the Algerian players. This is a match that is part of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
Burkina Faso has started work to renovate the August 4 stadium, which should host the match between the two teams. This is why the authorities have asked Morocco to hold this important match for the two teams on the right date, as it counts towards the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, reports the newspaper Al Massae.
In the letter addressed to the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Burkina Faso, it is written that the August 4 stadium under renovation had been banned by CAF from hosting international matches, as it did not meet the standards in force.
The Burkina Faso-Algeria match will be played on September 7. The two countries maintain good relations and Burkina Faso’s request has every chance of succeeding, but it remains to be seen whether Algeria will look favorably on the trip to Morocco for this match.
