World Cup Qualifier Between Algeria and Burkina Faso to Proceed in Morocco Despite Diplomatic Tensions

What will become of the match between Algeria and Burkina Faso that is to be held in Morocco, after the Algerian authorities decided to sever diplomatic relations with the kingdom? This match counting for the 2nd round of the Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers will not suffer from the diplomatic incidents between the two countries, according to the political authorities.
Burkina Faso and Algeria will hold their match on September 7 next in Morocco, as planned. This sporting event has nothing to do with the chill between Rabat and Algiers. Burkina Faso had requested Morocco due to the renovation work on the August 4 stadium in Ouagadougou, which, according to CAF and FIFA, no longer met the required standards to host an international match.
According to the political authorities of the two countries, a breakdown of diplomatic relations does not mean a ban on entry into the two territories. Moreover, Moroccan and Algerian players have maintained very good relations for many years, putting aside political differences.
