World Cup Qualifier: Algeria to Face Burkina Faso in Morocco Due to Stadium Issues

The Algerian Football Federation (FAF) announced on Thursday that the Burkina Faso - Algeria match, counting for the 2nd matchday of the 2nd round of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, will be played on Tuesday, September 7 in Marrakech.
Burkina Faso had requested Morocco to host this match because the August 4 stadium in Ouagadougou is undergoing renovations after being suspended by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for "non-compliance".
The first two matchdays of the World Cup qualifiers were supposed to be held in June, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, they have been postponed to September. The Fennecs start at home against Djibouti on Thursday, September 2 at the Mustapha-Tchaker stadium in Blida. But before that, the players will have a three-day training camp starting August 30 at the Sidi Moussa National Technical Center (Algiers).
It should be remembered that the "Greens", proud of their three friendly match wins, think they can pull it off. They were in June against Mali (1-0) and Mauritania (4-1) in Blida, and away against Tunisia (2-0).
