Women’s futsal: Spain dominates Morocco (8-1) in friendly match

Spain quickly took control of the game, opening the scoring as early as the 6th minute through Irene Samper. Laura Sánchez doubled the lead shortly after. The Moroccan African champions reacted quickly, however, reducing the deficit to 2-1 thanks to a goal by Nadia Laftah. After this goal, Morocco tried an offensive tactic by playing with five players, which temporarily bothered the Spaniards. However, this intensity cost the Moroccans dearly, as they committed a sixth foul before half-time. Vane Sotelo converted the resulting ten-meter penalty, making the score 3-1 at half-time.

A "Spanish monologue" in the second half

The second half was one-way traffic, described as a "Spanish monologue". Antía Pérez scored the fourth goal right after the restart, followed by Ale de Paz for the 5-1. Despite a drop in pace, Spain continued to push. A penalty, confirmed by VAR, was converted by Noelia in the 34th minute (6-1). Morocco, who again opted for the five-player game, could only try to contain the score.

The end of the match was difficult for the Atlas Lionesses: Chaimae Drissi was sent off in the 39th minute. Irene Samper then scored a brace, before Vane Sotelo sealed the final score at 8-1 with another ten-meter shot.
