Morocco-Uganda: Convincing 4-0 victory for the Atlas Lions at the Grand Stade de Tanger

The match, played on Tuesday, November 18 at the Grand Stade de Tanger, was quickly launched by Walid Regragui’s men. Neil El Aynaoui opened the scoring as early as the 4th minute. Despite Uganda’s attempts to equalize, Morocco added a second goal through Ismael Saibari in the 33rd minute, going into the locker room with a 2-0 lead. The lack of concentration in finishing was the main obstacle to a wider score in the first half.

The second half saw the two teams exchange offensives without much efficiency, although Morocco maintained their dominance. Walid Regragui took advantage of this period to make numerous changes, in order to evaluate the availability of most of the players before the Africa Cup of Nations.

The Atlas Lions finally managed to concretize their superiority at the end of the match. Soufiane Rahimi scored the third goal in the 79th minute from the penalty spot. Then, Bilal El Khannouss sealed the final score of 4-0 in the 88th minute. This convincing victory allows Morocco to continue their series of positive results in preparation for the 2025 CAN.
