Woman Arrested for Attempted Newborn Abduction at Moroccan Hospital
Involved in a case of attempted kidnapping of a newborn at the Chichaoua hospital, a woman is the subject of a judicial investigation opened by the police.
The 23-year-old suspect was caught red-handed by the hospital security guards, according to a statement from the Directorate General of National Security (DGSN).
According to the initial elements of the investigation, the person involved suffers from "difficulties in getting pregnant". She presented herself at the hospital claiming she was about to give birth, before attempting to steal the baby.
She was placed in custody pending the investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office in order to elucidate the exact circumstances of this case, the same source points out.
