West Ham Makes £15 Million Bid for Rennes Defender Nayef Aguerd

Moroccan international Nayef Aguerd is on West Ham’s radar as they are looking for a central defender. The English club is offering 15 million pounds sterling to recruit the Atlas Lion.
West Ham wants to acquire the services of Rennes defender Nayef Aguerd and has made a £15 million offer to his club, reports Football Insider. The coach of this English club, David Moyes, hopes to recruit a new central defender before the end of the transfer window due to the age of his two central defenders Angelo Ogbonna, 33, and Craig Dawson, 31.
The Hammers had in the meantime already started negotiations with the Rennais. But the latter have not yet given their agreement. They prefer to keep Nayef Aguerd. The market value of the Moroccan international has exploded since he joined Rennes last summer for around £3.6 million.
The Rennes defender has played 35 Ligue 1 matches, scored three goals and provided one assist. His club finished the season in sixth place in the league.
