Wealthy Moroccan Heirs Arrested in Rape Case Involving French Lawyer
Three sons of very wealthy Moroccan businessmen were taken into custody in Casablanca, suspected of having raped and sequestered a French lawyer. The case came to light following a complaint filed by the victim’s fiancé, an executive in a major professional organization.
According to sources cited by Hespress, the young woman would have been assaulted during a private party bringing together influential personalities of the city. Her fiancé, present at this party, would have tried to intervene but would have been held back by the alleged perpetrators.
Among the suspects is the son of a billionaire, head of a large professional organization and active in various investment sectors, including the agri-food industry, and the heir to a major pharmaceutical group in Morocco.
The victim, currently in France, should return to Morocco soon to testify before the investigators. Her fiancé told the authorities that his companion was "at the disposal of the investigation" and provided precise information on the location of the assault and the identity of the suspects.
Faced with the investigators, the versions of the accused diverge. One of them claims that the relationship with the lawyer was consensual. The investigation, entrusted to the judicial police, continues.
