Moroccan Elite’s Sons Face Rape Allegations as French Lawyer Testifies

The rape complaint filed by a French lawyer against sons of major Moroccan businessmen continues to cause a scandal in the country.
The case, which notably involves the son of the CGEM president, M’hammed Alj, has taken a turn with the hearing of the plaintiff by the investigating judge of the criminal chamber of the Casablanca Court of Appeal.
"F. S.", accompanied by her lawyer, maintained her accusations, reiterating the statements made to the French police. She accuses Kamil Bennis and M’hammed Alj of having drugged her with GHB during a party organized in a villa before abusing her.
Despite the pressure and attempts at financial conciliation by the families of the accused, the French lawyer refuses to withdraw her complaint. This refusal is all the more striking as her Moroccan fiancé, himself a CGEM executive, has chosen to withdraw from the case.
"F. S." claims to have suffered significant trauma and to be undergoing psychological treatment. While she denies any drug use, analyses have revealed the presence of cocaine in her body, an element that the defense intends to use to discredit her testimony.
The organization of the party is also the subject of particular attention. Security guards, including a municipal councilor, were present to filter the guests. The plaintiff’s fiancé had, for his part, declared having been physically assaulted during this party before withdrawing his complaint.
