Fiancé of French Lawyer Arrested in Casablanca Rape Case Investigation

The fiancé of the French lawyer allegedly raped in early November during a party in a residence in Ain Diab, Casablanca has been arrested at Mohammed V Airport. He had just returned to Morocco from Paris.
Mohamed Amine Naguib, the fiancé of the French lawyer who accuses three men of raping her in Casablanca, is no longer free to move around. The arrest of Mohamed Amine Naguib follows the disclosure of an audio recording with one of his friends. In the same audio recording, the person concerned, also prosecuted at large on other counts in the context of this alleged rape case, is heard insulting and insulting the lawyer of one of the accused. The recording also includes an attack on the work of the public prosecutor’s office and the investigating justice in the exercise of its functions, in accordance with the legal procedures in force.
The investigating judge at the Casablanca Court of Appeal had refused the defense’s request for Kamil B., the main accused in this case. The defense had presented a list of witnesses who denied the rape, one of whom confirmed that the French plaintiff had voluntarily had sexual relations in front of her during the night of the party in the luxurious villa of the accused in Ain Diab. The defense explained that the alleged victim did not provide any evidence that she had been raped, apart from the medical tests she had personally carried out and which confirmed that she had had sexual intercourse and consumed cocaine.
The sons of wealthy businessmen involved in this case are accused in particular of forming a criminal gang, rape, kidnapping and sequestration.
