Wave of Brutal Crimes Shocks Casablanca Residents, Sparks Social Media Outcry

The past week has been trying for the city of Casablanca, in view of the images and videos of crime scenes, widely relayed on social networks.
In Casablanca, residents are appalled by the frequency of violent crimes in the economic capital. Last week, the people of Casablanca witnessed crime scenes of unheard-of violence that sent shivers down their spines and were relayed on social networks.
Echoing these atrocious crimes, the same platforms have recalled the most recent of these scenes, which concerns the young woman victim of a homicide and whose mutilated and incinerated body was found on Monday, September 2 in a plastic bag found in Hay El Farah, a popular neighborhood of Casablanca. Her murderer, a repeat offender of 47 years old, was arrested and placed in custody.
The other atrocity that has upset more than one and which has also been reported by the social networks is a crime of blood committed by a young man on his stepmother. According to Le 360, the latter, a taxi driver, had indeed inflicted several fatal knife blows to the neck and chest of his father’s second wife, over an inheritance matter.
In Sebata, on the other hand, it is the horrible scene of a fifty-year-old man, author of a homicide by knife on a cafe customer in front of whom he used to beg. The motive for the crime, according to the defendant, is revenge for the contemptuous remarks addressed to him by his victim.
The latest murder that has gone viral was perpetrated by a criminal on a night watchman. The victim, found with a broken head by a stone, was immediately avenged by his friends who attacked the suspect. Unfortunately, the killer did not survive his injuries.
This resurgence of these scenes of violence revives the debate on security in the city and calls for the taking of consequential measures to curb crime, suggests the same media.
