Killed for a bicycle. This is indeed the sad conclusion drawn from the murder of these two men in the Lissafa neighborhood of Casablanca. Suspecting his killer of theft, the first victim, a security guard, on his way home from work, was lying in wait for him in front of his neighbor’s house.
Having noticed that the suspect was stealing the bicycle parked in front of the said house, the security guard intervened to thwart this theft. Unfortunately, in their altercation, the latter, after receiving a violent blow to the head from his aggressor, died on the spot.
Demanding vengeance, the brother-in-law of the deceased, enraged, in a chase between the victim and him, put an end to the days of the murderer of his relative by beating him to death.
Once apprehended, the competent authorities rushed to the scene. The brother-in-law, despite his vengeful act, was taken into custody for homicide, pending the results of the investigation opened for this purpose by the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
