Watford’s Imran Louza Benched for Violating Club Rules, Coach Confirms

Moroccan international Imran Louza was left on the bench for the first part of the match against Blackburn Rovers (0-1) last Sunday for having violated the club’s rules.
The Moroccan midfielder of Watford would not have respected the training schedules, which would have led the coach Valérien Ismaël to take this measure against him, reports The Athletic. Louza was sanctioned, the French coach had clearly indicated on the day of the match against Blackburn, without giving any details.
Imran Louza reacted to this sanction and the whole team is now "engaged and ready to follow the rules," Ismaël said before the match against Coventry City scheduled for this Saturday. "I don’t want to take measures, believe me, I don’t want to play without my best player, but no one is above the team or the club and at some point I have to make decisions," he specified.
The decision to sanction Louza is part of a dynamic of improving discipline within the club. "This is part of the process... This player now understands that what we are talking about is serious, we are putting in place certain rules for everyone, and you just have to respect them," the coach insisted.
