Watford Midfielder Imran Louza Chooses Morocco Over France for International Career

Imran Louza, a player playing for Watford, has finally chosen Morocco after months of suspense. Good news for Vahid Halihodzic who is looking to bring fresh blood to the team before the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
At the age of 22, Imran Louza has long maintained the suspense before choosing Morocco over France. Born to a Moroccan father and a French mother, the player has already had the chance to represent both countries in the U20 category, while boasting six appearances for the France U21 team, indicates RMC Sport, which points out that Louza is capable of playing wide but mainly occupies a central midfield position, either in a defensive role or further forward, reports Hespress.
It is therefore a versatile player who has just joined the Atlas Lions. He will be lined up for the Qatar 2022 qualifiers. The Moroccan selection will compete in Group I alongside Guinea, Guinea-Bissau and Sudan. Morocco will have to fight hard, as only the group leader will be entitled to the playoff match, the winner of which will secure one of the five World Cup tickets allocated to the African continent.
Trained at Nantes, Imran Louza joined Watford in June for an amount of 10 million dirhams. The Franco-Moroccan has signed a five-year contract that will keep him at Vicarage Road until 2026.
