UK Warns Travelers: Check Passport Rules Before Visiting Morocco

The Foreign Office (UK Foreign Office) advises British tourists wishing to travel to Morocco to carefully examine the passport requirements set by the Moroccan authorities.
The UK Foreign Office advises British tourists wishing to travel to Morocco to ensure that their passport meets strict entry requirements in order to avoid difficulties at airports, reports the website BirminghamLive, citing the Moroccan embassy in the UK. Travelers are required to have a passport valid for at least three months from the date of entry into Morocco. Otherwise, they may be denied entry into the country. Noting that some travelers have been denied entry due to damaged passports, while others have had difficulty leaving Morocco because their passports were not stamped upon arrival, the Foreign Office advises British tourists to meet these requirements. "Make sure your passport is not damaged. Some travelers have been denied entry while traveling with damaged passports," the Foreign Office said in its note.
Morocco is one of the favorite destinations for British tourists. And the UK remains one of the main source countries of tourists for Morocco after France. Marrakech, Essaouira and Agadir, connected to British cities by several direct air links, remain the main destinations of choice for British tourists
