Wanted for murder in Toulouse, French national found in Tangier
A 29-year-old French national wanted for voluntary homicide has been arrested in Tangier. He is suspected of shooting and killing someone in a public place in Toulouse in September 2024.
The man was arrested on Saturday, August 1, by officers from the judicial police department under the Tangier police prefecture.

A search of security databases revealed that he was the subject of a red notice issued by Interpol at the request of the Paris National Central Bureau.
According to information released by Moroccan police, the suspect is allegedly involved in a voluntary homicide committed with a firearm in a public place in Toulouse. However, the authorities have not specified the exact date of the incident, the neighborhood concerned, or the victim’s identity.
A fatal shooting in Toulouse in September 2024
One of the main cases of this type recorded in Toulouse during that period dates back to September 8, 2024. That evening, one man was killed and two others were wounded by gunfire on Place de la Loire, in the Bagatelle neighborhood.
According to La Dépêche du Midi, three people were targeted at around 10 p.m. The deceased victim, aged 28, was shot in the head, while a 21-year-old man was wounded in the thigh. The shooter fled, and the investigation was entrusted to the judicial police.

The suspect was placed under extradition proceedings, in accordance with the instructions of the competent public prosecutor’s office. Interpol Rabat informed its French counterpart so that the necessary steps could be taken toward his possible surrender to French justice.
