Vox Leader Urges EU Action on Morocco Border Amid Ceuta Migration Surge
Friday 28 May 2021, by
Faced with the migrant "invasion" of Ceuta, the president of the Spanish far-right party Vox, Santiago Abascal, calls on the European Union to take responsibility for protecting and defending its border with Morocco.
On a European tour, Abascal, accompanied by the head of the Vox delegation to the European Parliament, Jorge Buxadé, exchanged in Budapest with the Hungarian Prime Minister, Viktor Orbán, on the migration crisis in Ceuta. On this occasion, the president of Vox expressed his concern in the face of this "invasion" of Moroccan migrants, according to a statement from the party cited by Europapress. "We patriots must be united in the face of the EU’s multicultural policies: massive and illegal immigration, the Islamization of Europe and the abandonment of our common roots," said Abascal, who deplored the inaction of the European Union after the Ceuta crisis.
The president of Vox did not fail to welcome the reforms related to the family and births implemented by the Orbán government. "The only demographic salvation for Europe is massive and uncontrolled immigration. We believe that with policies in favor of fertility and the family, the demographic deficit can be corrected. And in this matter, Hungary is an example to follow," Abascal stressed.
As part of this tour, the president of Vox will also meet this Friday in Warsaw with Jaroslaw Kaczynski, the leader of the Polish party Law and Justice, as well as Giorgia Meloni, the president of Fratelli d’Italia.
