Viral TikTok Star Cracks Open Ancient Moroccan Geodes, Revealing Hidden Crystal Wonders

Monday 8 August 2022, by Sylvanus

An Australian TikToker is introducing internet users to Moroccan geodes. One of his videos is a hit on the social network.

On TikTok, Michael Boon, an Australian residing in the state of Queensland, shares his passion for minerals, gemstones and crystals. He splits the shells of Moroccan geodes to expose the wonders hidden within. The Australian TikToker breaks the rocks to reveal the internal crystal formations. In short, he reveals the inner magic of rocks and minerals, which formed hundreds of millions of years ago, reports abc.net.au.

From the outside, geodes appear to be regular rocks, but they are hollow and lined with crystals or other creatures. The Australian TikToker’s favorite geode is the Moroccan one from the Sidi Rahal region, where it formed in limestone. For him, the age and science behind the transformation of volcanic gas bubbles into hidden crystals are part of the appeal of the cracking geodes.

Michael Boon’s fascinating work interests many internet users. This is evidenced by the number of views his most popular video has accumulated: seven million, and the sales of his business. "TikTok is a good way to grow my business and show it to a much wider audience than Bundy," the Australian TikToker told the Queensland press.

"Some videos may not get a lot of views, but they generate more sales - I have a video like that that generated 400 sales in two weeks," he revealed.
