TikTok Star Katnuf Rises to Fame with Summer Hit Song

Born in Rotterdam, Katnuf, which is nothing other than a derivative of the number 49 in French and the prefix of Berkane, the Moroccan city he is from, has lived in Roulers, Belgium since the age of six. With an account on TikTok opened during the lockdown, he now has more than 217,000 subscribers. While he had started his posts on TikTok with jokes, he made sure to have a considerable number of subscribers before starting to post songs under the pseudonym Katnuf.

In early July, Anas Kasmi posted his latest song titled "Be Mine" on TikTok. In the blink of an eye, it becomes viral with more than 60 million views. An unexpected success for the artist who interrupted his vacation in Morocco to quickly finish the new single at his home in Roulers. The song "Van mij zijn" (To be mine) which, in three days, becomes number one in the Spotify ranking, is currently at the top of all Dutch charts.
