Violent Clashes Erupt After Casablanca Soccer Derby, Leaving Officers Injured and Vehicles Damaged

Disturbances around the stadiums were again observed this Friday, November 22, with several material damages and injuries, at the end of the Raja-Wydad derby (4-4).
A total of several damaged vehicles were counted, including 7 belonging to the law enforcement forces and the National Security, not to mention destroyed public property.
During these acts of hooliganism, 5 police officers were slightly injured. A chief commissioner working in the "sports security" service suffers from a fractured shoulder. They were all transferred to the Ibn Rochd University Hospital to receive the necessary care, the same statement informs.
In total, 36 people involved in these acts were arrested, including 9 individuals, placed in custody, following their arrest in flagrante delicto of criminal acts. 16 other minors were placed under judicial supervision, according to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
In addition, 782 minors unaccompanied by their parents or guardians were arrested around the stadium. These young children who were trying to illegally enter the sports complex were returned to their parents after a report in accordance with the law, it is specified.
