Vahid Halilhodzic Poised to Take Over as Morocco’s National Soccer Coach

The Nantes coach, Vahid Halilhodzic, 67, is expected on the bench of the "Atlas Lions", replacing Hervé Renard, who fell into disgrace after the early elimination of Morocco in the round of 16 against Benin.
The imminent arrival of the Bosnian coach in Morocco is becoming more concrete. To replace Hervé Renard, who is leaving for Saudi Arabia, Vahid Halilhodzic, who successfully qualified Algeria for the round of 16 of the World Cup for the first time, would regain the technical staff of Morocco.
Meanwhile, all eyes are on the outcome of the Monday, July 22 meeting of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), which will be able to decide the fate of the "FC Nantes" coach. Indeed, on Monday, the FRMF will meet the "national football family" to discuss the "situation of Moroccan football" after the very short adventure of the "Atlas Lions" at the 2019 CAN.
The former Bosnian international, Halilhodzic, whose name has been insistently mentioned to succeed the former Lille coach, does not hide his desire to settle in Morocco.
