Nantes Coach Halilhodzic Linked to Morocco National Team Job

Vahid Halilhodzic is about to leave Nantes. This announced departure could open the doors to the Moroccan national football team.
Long announced on the bench of the Moroccan national team, Vahid Halilhodzic has always denied any negotiation with the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF). A few days ago, when the rumor ran again, without however curbing any desire to manage this team, the former Algeria coach had been clear. He refuted all the rumors about his arrival in the Moroccan technical staff. "Morocco? I’m not aware of it. You know, I always have solicitations. I’m trying to prepare the FC Nantes season as best I can. After, what’s going to happen? We’ll see," Halilhodzic had said.
Even if he is the most prominent, given his profile and his experiences in Africa, particularly in Morocco, with Raja Casablanca, the current Nantes coach is using subterfuges to divert any attention on him.
A few days before the deliberation of the FRMF members on the name of Hervé Renard’s successor, this news about the probable resignation of the Bosnian Halilhodzic revives the rumors. According to the French press, the technician could well leave his position as Nantes coach in the coming days. This departure of the Canaries coach, Halilhodzic, is justified by the tensions with the management and the lack of commitment of the latter to recruit new players during the current summer transfer window.
Barring a last-minute turnaround, Vahid Halilhodzic could well be part of the technical staff of the Moroccan national football team.
