Vahid Halilhodžić Poised to Coach Morocco National Team, Pending Conditions

After the refusal of Laurent Blanc to coach Morocco, the Franco-Bosnian, Vahid Halilhodžić, would have given his agreement to take over the technical management of the Atlas Lions but he sets his conditions before taking on this new position.
Several names have circulated in the saga of Renard’s successor. In the end, Vahid Halilhodžić remains the most prominent, especially after Laurent Blanc’s refusal to coach the Moroccan national football team.
Vahid Halilhodžić would have given his agreement, according to Le360, to replace Hervé Renard on the bench of the Moroccan national team. However, the same source indicates that the 67-year-old Franco-Bosnian coach would have imposed some conditions on the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF). Among these, he must be allowed to form his own technical staff, including the physical trainer, the goalkeeping coach and his assistant. Moreover, the former coach of Raja Casablanca would also have demanded that the medical staff be selected by him.
A decisive meeting is announced tomorrow, Thursday, August 15, 2019, with Faouzi Lekjaâ, the president of the FRMF. The latter had already announced that he would reveal the name of the future coach during this week.
