Morocco Eyes Laurent Blanc and Bruno Genesio for National Soccer Team Coach

To take the reins of the national football team, Morocco is betting on the former French World Cup champion 1998, Laurent Blanc, and on Bruno Genesio, former OL coach.
A Frenchman, a Bosnian or a local to take the reins of the Moroccan national team? This is now the equation that the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) is trying to solve, by next week.
Laurent Blanc, announced a few months ago and unemployed since 2016, would be in full discussion with the FRMF officials. The only sour note with the former Bordeaux coach is that he has no experience in Africa, unlike another better-capped challenger in Africa. The Bosnian Vahid Halilhodzic, current coach of Nantes, has, for his part, led with an iron hand Côte d’Ivoire and Algeria. Better, he was the coach of "Raja Casablanca" with whom he won, in 1997, the African Champions League.
On the other hand, local names are being put forward: Walid Regragui, currently coach of "FUS Rabat" and former assistant coach of the "Atlas Lions", Rachid Taoussi, Mustapha Hadji, Renard’s assistant, Jamal Sellami, in charge of the youth, or Houcine Ammouta, from FUS and "Wydad Casablanca".
The ball is now in the court of Faouzi Lekjaâ, President of the FRMF, who announces the colors for next week, with the setting up of a special Commission responsible for making the right choice for the national team. At the level of the National Technical Directorate (DTN), an old baron of Ligue 1, Bruno Genesio, is announced at its head, to replace Nasser Larguet, dismissed from his duties, to join the training center of OM.
