Laurent Blanc in Talks to Coach Morocco’s National Football Team

Laurent Blanc, on a mission for the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) or next successor to Renard? Only the wise could answer this question.

The negotiations continue between the former Nantes coach and the FRMF. Chaired by Fouzi Lekjaâ, the Executive Committee of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) held a meeting yesterday, Thursday, August 8, 2019, at the headquarters of the governing body of Moroccan football, in Rabat. On the agenda was a point, that of choosing the new national coach, Vahid Halilhodzic or Laurent Blanc. The former has been announced for several days as the future coach of the Atlas Lions. But the Frenchman, who has been in Morocco since Wednesday, August 7 evening, to meet the president of the FRMF, is back in the race.

If for some this new twist is due to the disagreement between the FRMF and the former coach of Raja Casablanca, others mention a problem related to the members of the staff who will accompany the Bosnian coach. The former Nantes coach hopes to have his trusted men around him while the FRMF wants to choose some assistants for the new coach.

In the hours to come, the next one will be known. However, it is important to specify that Laurent Blanc did not board or make this trip to Morocco for tourism. The choice could quickly tilt in his favor.

Meanwhile, Fouzi Lekjaâ is under pressure as he promised, during the conference held in July in Skhirat, to announce the name of the new coach at the beginning of August.
