Laurent Blanc Emerges as Top Candidate for Morocco National Team Coach

Following the departure of Hervé Renard from the head of the Moroccan national team, former French national team coach Laurent Blanc is announced to take over the reins of the national team. Even if several names have made headlines in the media in recent days, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) also seems interested in the profile of the former PSG coach with whom he won the Ligue 1 title for three consecutive seasons in 2014, 2015 and 2016.
In search of a new challenge within a club since his departure from PSG, the former Paris coach is not against the idea of taking over the destiny of the Moroccan team. Free from any contract since 2016, the 1998 World Cup Frenchman, whose name had also circulated a few months ago, would be in the sights of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) officials.
Sources close to the case have confirmed the information, specifying that the former coach of the French national team, who led the French team between 2010 and 2012 before joining Paris Saint-Germain in June 2013, would be approached by the FRMF.
With the announcement of Hervé Renard’s departure from Morocco, several names have circulated, the most recurring of which is that of the Bosnian, Nantes coach Vahid Halilhodzic.
