This consumer product is distributed to vendors to be sold on the beaches under the jurisdiction of the Fahs-Anjra prefecture.
Dubious doughnuts in Tangier? During a field campaign targeting anarchic premises in a village, as part of preventive measures to counter illegal practices threatening public health, carried out under the supervision of the caïd of Ksar Sghir, the local authorities came across a premises used for the preparation of doughnuts, a consumer product distributed to vendors to be sold on the beaches of Fahs-Anjra. The only problem: they found that the preparation of the dish was done in unsanitary conditions, without respect for the required health standards. A real danger to the health of consumers, especially children who represent the largest consumer category of this product.
The operation resulted in the seizure and destruction of large quantities of "doughnuts" unfit for consumption, as well as the wooden boards used for the display of this dish. The services of the Fahs-Anjra prefecture intend to continue the intensive control operations in the coming weeks. They also stressed the importance of cooperation between the authorities and citizens to report any suspicious or illegal practices that could threaten health safety. Finally, the authorities called on the population to be vigilant and to immediately report any infringement or illegal activity.
