Unemployed Father Returns Lost Bag with Cash and Cards to Stranger in Vernon

After finding a bag containing cards and a nice sum of money on the ground in Vernon, Khaled, 46, a father of 9-year-old twins, unemployed, finds its owner thanks to mutual aid.
A few weeks ago, Khaled came across a bag. Opening it, he found a wallet with many cards, including a health card and bank cards, as well as a lot of money. Without a phone number on the items, he went at night to an address, to Monique’s* home in Vernon (Eure), to find the owner of the bag. He tells her the reason for his visit. Without an access code, Monique allows him to enter the residence so that he can return the bag to its owner. But he won’t see her.
Monique, who looks inside the bag and finds an appointment for a medical appointment that same day at the Vernon hospital, as well as an address indicating that the owner of the bag, Gloire, 22, lives in the residence, offers Khaled to go to the establishment the next day to inquire about the young woman’s phone number, reports Actu.fr. The forty-year-old goes to the hospital and the receptionist at the reception desk kindly gave him Gloire’s phone number. But he fails to reach the young woman. Monique manages to contact her and gives her Khaled’s number.
The emotion was there when Khaled met Gloire to return her bag. "I’m a law student in Rouen. I live with my parents. I had just gone to the bank to get the money for the end of the month and that’s all I had left," the young woman says. "I really don’t know what I would have done without this extraordinary chance that it was an honest person who found my bag."
