Vincent Bolloré: "Mohammed V came to our place"

During his hearing before the National Assembly on the allocation of DTT frequencies, Vincent Bolloré, the boss of Vivendi, owner of the Canal+ group channels, a supporter of Éric Zemmour, claims to have nothing against Muslims. He also mentions his friendship, that of his family with the Moroccan royal family since the time of King Mohammed V.
While his channels are regularly criticized for content deemed racist and Islamophobic, Vincent Bolloré, a supporter of the president of the Reconquête! party, claims to have nothing against Muslims. "Not only do I have a lot of Muslim friends with whom I live in peace and brotherhood. But you know that the Commander of the Faithful, descendant of the Prophet, Mohammed V, [...] exiled by your country, [...] came to our place. He lived in our property in Garches-Vaucresson in November 1955," recounts the French billionaire. He will add that he remained "extremely friendly" with the Moroccan royal family.
Accused of promoting an "ideology" of the far right on his channels, Vincent Bolloré responds: "All this is just cream pies. [...] I have no ideological project, I am very gentle and benevolent, not at all an Attila". And to continue: "I am a big boy. I am a Christian Democrat, I respect the opinion of the nation. The word Christian is not a dirty word, it is charity and hope." He who controls the Canal+ group, to which C8 and CNews channels belong, ends up conceding: "If I don’t believe in something, I’m not going to put it on one of my channels."
