Algerian Singer Cheb Khaled Calls Police on Man Claiming to Be His Son at Radio Station

Harassed by a young man who claims to be his son, Cheb Khaled called the police to arrest him after he showed up at his workplace, in the premises of the radio station Beur FM in Charenton-le-Pont (Val-de-Marne).
The singer Khaled, 63, called the police overnight from Sunday to Monday to arrest the 27-year-old man who had allegedly burst into the Beur FM radio premises and demanded to see his father. The radio host made it clear to him that the raï star and author of the hit "Aïcha" did not wish to meet him. After failing to enter the radio station’s premises, the son, offended, threatened to vandalize his father’s Porsche, reports Le Parisien.
The young man, who presents himself as a journalist, was taken into custody at the police station before being released. "I came to the radio to talk to him, but I’m not harassing him. I even won in court. I waited at the entrance. My father, because I specify that I am indeed his son, sent people to threaten me," he told the police.
The boy claims to be the singer Khaled’s son and proclaims it on social media and to anyone who will listen. But the latter only recognizes one son with his ex-wife of Moroccan origin. Born in Oran, Algeria and holding Moroccan nationality, Cheb Khaled, residing in Luxembourg, is a renowned artist, author of several albums and hits, the latest of which was released in 2022.
