UAE Leader Offers Condolences as World Mourns Moroccan Boy Rayan’s Tragic Death

Personalities are rushing to offer their condolences to the family of Rayan, the five-year-old boy who died on Saturday after spending four days in a dry well. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the United Arab Emirates, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, has not remained insensitive to this tragedy.
In a message on his Twitter account, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy to Rayan’s family. He also offered his condolences to the "brotherly Moroccan people, and to all of humanity who mourned the loss of Rayan. May God have mercy on him and place him in His vast paradise."
Rayan accidentally fell into a dry well near his home on Tuesday afternoon near the town of Tamrout (Chefchaouen province). It was only on Saturday that he could be extracted from the well, after a delicate rescue operation given the narrowness of the well and the quality of the soil.
