U20 Africa Cup: Morocco and Ghana Deadlock in Goalless Draw

Morocco stumbled, this Friday, against Ghana at the Municipal Stadium in Nouadhibou. While the winner of the match would have secured their ticket to the quarter-finals, it ended in a goalless draw (0-0).
The Moroccans dominated the match against the Black Satellites, but they were unable to capitalize on the few opportunities that arose during this second match of Group C. The double chance obtained in the first half by Mouloua and Essahel in the penalty area ended in failure. If the first shot on target was stopped by the Ghanaian goalkeeper, the second was deflected by the crossbar.
In the second half, despite their determination, the Lionceaux had to concede the draw. They will have to wait for the last group match scheduled for next Monday against Tanzania to qualify in case of victory.
In addition, an incident occurred during the match. Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, a Black Satellite, was evacuated to the nearest hospital in the city after receiving a knee from a Moroccan player in the face in the 88th minute.
