Morocco’s U20 Team Aims for Crucial Win Against Tanzania in African Cup
Monday 22 February 2021, by
Morocco faces Tanzania this Monday at the Nouakchott Olympic Stadium as part of the 3rd round of the CAN U20. The coach of the Atlas Cubs, Zakaria Aboub, intends to win this match and qualify Morocco for the rest of the competition.
In preparation for this match, the Cubs trained on Sunday, February 21, on the Nouakchott stadium pitch. According to Al Akhbar, all the players of the selection, present at this last session, tested negative including Fouad Maach, placed in quarantine after testing positive for Covid-19. The central defender of the AS Monaco reserve team should join his teammates for this 3rd match of group C.
After two matches, including one win and one draw, Morocco is ranked second in this group with 4 points, just behind the Ghanaian team. The national selection intends to overcome the Tanzanians in this match in order to continue the adventure of this international competition, after more than fifteen years of absence.
"We prepared the match as we do for all the matches. The most important thing is that the level of the selection improves after each match. Our goal is to win the match and score goals, which we didn’t do much since the start of the tournament," reassured Zakaria Aboub.
Moroccans will be able to follow this match exclusively on the beIN Sports HD 7 and beIN Sports Connect channels.
